Rebecca Steelman is an avid, exhibiting artist in Southern California. She is now an Artist Associate member of the California Art Club, recieving some recognition and acceptance into exhibits. She is a regular exhibiting member of The Arts Colony Gallery in Corona, and RCAA in Riverside.

Although Rebecca has been known to do abstracts, she nonetheless has great affinity for Impressionist, representational images of outdoor scenery. Since 2019, she has focused on honing her skills with oils and watercolors, seeking to bring out the depth and richness of landscapes and seascapes. Back in 2014, she began plein air work, and spent several years improving her outdoor painting efforts. She still loves doing plein air, yet has been also working in her studio alot.

Rebecca recieved two art scholarships upon HS graduation in 1980. She studied Art at California State College, San Bernardino, which since then, has become a university. Her outstanding large figurative pieces she had been producing at that time were even honored by her painting teacher, and exhibited there in the campus art gallery in 1983.

Over the last decade (and counting), her work has become increasingly recognized by well known jurors of exhibits, with regular awards given to her ever refining and stunning work - especially her oil and watercolor paintings landscapes and some of her abstracts as well.

Many of her pieces have been sold to local collectors, and some internationally. Portrait commissions continue to be completed for interested collectors of her work.

Rebecca is open to portrait commissions by contacting her with requests via her website, where she also has an available art, direct sales SHOP page -
